Recipe in English

This 3 ingredients false bread has been so popular lately and finally I got the chance to try it.
Although  the original recipe uses cream cheese, I tried it with ricotta, and it was great!
It is perfect to serve with either sweet or savory food.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs separated = 6 sp
  • 50 gm ricotta cheese = 2 sp
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder = 0 sp

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degree Celsius.
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks in 2 bowls.
  3. To the yolks, add the ricotta cheese and baking powder and mix well.
  4. Beat the egg whites with a whisk or an electric mixer till hard peaks form.
  5. Add the egg whites to the yolk mixture and mix with a spatula till well combined.
  6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spray with non stick spray.
  7. Divide the batter into 12 circles leaving some space in between.
  8. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes till golden brown.
  9. Let it cool before your serve it. It also freezes very well.

You can add some dried basil to the batter before baking and serve it with tomato sauce and some mozzarella cheese for a taste of pizza.
Also you can try it with light jam or some honey with a dash of cinnamon for a sweet flavor.

In the above photo, I served it with chickpea falafel. Stay tuned for the recipe!

All the 12 pieces are 8 smartpoints. Every 3 pieces = 2 smartpoints.

Hope you enjoy it
